Scattergood Friends School, Iowa's only college preparatory boarding school, is readying to celebrate its 125th anniversary and there are multiple mile-markers in store for the next Director of Communication and Giving! A Quaker school since 1890, a Jewish Refugee Hostel from 1939-1942, this school and community is incredibly poised to make a difference in our world of education.
As we prepare for our next capital campaign, we prepare to advance the school's dynamic vision for the next 125 years.
A member of the senior leadership team, the Director of Communications and Giving will be a driving force in connecting alumni members to the school.
125th Anniversary event planning and coordinating Development and Head of School outreach will be fundamental in this effort.
Creating and supporting key events and programs as well as documenting those events will fall under the supervision of the Director of Communication and Giving.
The Director will work in tandem with the Capital Campaign Steering Committee and the Head of School.
The Director will expand the Friends for Life (Bequest) program, as well as continue the school's involvement with the School Foundation which oversees a $4.
2 million endowment.
Required Experience Comfort with basic website content management and donor database systems.
Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
