MEXICAN CHEESE PRODUCERS, INC.
JOB DESCRIPTION COST ACCOUNTANT JOB PURPOSE DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES Leads the process development, documentation, conversion and implementation of a cost accounting system Establishes and monitors financial controls, inventory management reporting, coordination of periodic inventory audits, valuation techniques and related programs Prepares, review and complete accounting transactions including journal entries, adjusting entries, closing entries and assist in maintaining the general ledger Assists in the preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.
Assists in preparing cost analyzes, budgets, forecasts and related matters Assists in annual audit, both internal and external Recommends and initiates accounting and administrative cost controls and procedures Reviews, analyze and assist the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable function Other duties as assigned SKILL REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
A minimum of 2 years of related work experience in cost accounting required.
Proficiency in preparing reports utilizing Excel is required.
SAP knowledge is a plus.
Must be able to work independently, exercise sound judgment in decision making, and have good problem solving skills.
Must have a strong orientation to detail, be well organized, and analytical.
