Production Supervisor (2nd Shift)

UFP Technologies is seeking an energetic, career oriented professional to fill an exciting opportunity as a Production Supervisor (2nd Shift) at our facility located in Clinton, Iowa.
Position
Summary:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the activities of production personnel/teams in order to meet customer delivery and product quality requirements at within established cost parameters.
The Production Supervisor will oversee departmental personnel, conduct performance reviews, make recommendations on the hiring/firing of personnel, and initiate corrective action measure to address performance problems as needed.
Ensures compliance to existing policies and procedures.
Initiates and manages quality, process and cost improvement activities and supports engineering with process development and transfer of new products into production.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Production planning:
o Develops delivery schedules.
o Monitors raw material and subassembly deliveries.
o Develops recovery schedules as needed, working with customer service to apprise customers of delivery problems.
o Communicates with customer service and sales team as required.
o Monitors on-time delivery performance, implementing corrective action when service levels fall below targets.
Monitoring quality:
o Assists in the development and implementation of employee training and other corrective action measure to prevent re-occurrence of the quality issue.
Preventative maintenance:
o Works with maintenance department, automation team, and tool design to develop appropriate documentation and employee training to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment and tools.
New product development/transfer support:
o Works with design, automation, tool design engineering and quality to develop the appropriate process documentation and process control data to ensure customer requirements are met when the process is transferred into production.
o Performs all other duties as assigned or needed.
Education /
Experience:
o High School or GED plus 3 to 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
o 1 to 3 years' experience in a team leader or supervisory position.
o Familiarity with quality system concepts and principles such as ISO9001 and ISO 14001 preferred.
o Strong math and communication skills desired.
o Must possess the ability to deal with change and growth.
o Must be a creative thinker and effective change agent with the ability to achieve higher levels of productivity.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
