Sales Engineer

Sells the organization's products and services by interacting with Regional Sales Reps, Sales/Marketing management and with established customers and assists in, and/or directly develops new prospects.
Conducts application and design engineering on new and existing products to support proposals.
Prepares cost estimates and price quotations on new work and coordinates the preparation of cost estimates on projects and/or new products.
Assures orders are properly entered into the system to ensure quality, price, delivery, etc.
, and that any other issues are satisfactorily resolved to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize administrative costs to the Company.
Acts as liaison between the customer and the organization and as project manager to coordinate new product introductions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Supports Sales Manager in attaining orders and coordinates with other functional areas to resolve inquiries/issues.
Makes company services available to customer.
Informs customers of supply and price and assists in inventory control.
Keeps records and makes reports on all phases of sales activities.
Responds to, and resolves, customer complaints.
Assists finance/accounting department in verifying credit; assists in collections.
Keeps informed on new products and other general information of interest to customers.
Handles inbound sales lead calls to convert calls into sales.
Overcomes technical and business objections of prospective customers.
Tracks stock levels.
Liaison between customer and field sales, engineering and manufacturing Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.
Builds and maintains customer relationships.
Prepares reports of business transactions on a plant level.
Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.
Travels to and attends trade shows.
Investigates and resolves customer problems with product designs.
Investigates new designs and evaluates engineering proposals.
Performs special projects as directed.
Responsible to maintain a clean and safe work area consistent with the Company's housekeeping policies.
QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE A BA/BS degree in Engineering or Technical Field.
Must have significant technical sales experience - or experience as a Sales Engineer.
Hydraulic application and design experience preferred.
Must have initiative; be accurate; have a mechanical aptitude and able to understand and apply technical requirements; communicate orally and in writing effectively; interact successfully with all levels of the organization; handle sensitive or emotional customer issues in a businesslike, but firm manner.
Must be able to close.
Must have personal computer skills/literacy.
LANGUAGE SKILLS MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Requires advance accounting skills, which require analytical math.
REASONING ABILITY Requires the use of disciplined problem solving methods.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
